How does it work?
The 4X4 Dangel drive system allows you to switch the car to ECO 2WD or AUTO 4WD mode depending on your needs, road and climate characteristics. In standard operation, only front-wheel drive is used. This saves fuel and saves tires when all-wheel drive is not required. When the wheels of the front axle lose traction, the viscous clutch transmits part of the torque to the rear axle. This switching occurs smoothly, without the participation of the driver and only when necessary. As soon as the traction of the front axle wheels becomes sufficient, the car automatically switches to standard mode again.
ECO 2WD mode - the rear-wheel drive is switched off by opening the gear clutch.
AUTO 4WD mode - with normal traction, the car moves with the front wheels, as in front-wheel drive mode.
